Women Professing Godliness : It's Not About You, It's About Jesus in You !

As I spent a while thinking on I Timothy 2:10 yet again, its been one of my verses for 13 years now that I keep reading and thinking on. You see many years ago I was asked by my husband to write an article on our website back then called " Women Professing Godliness ". That was my place to be an older woman and instruct younger women , How to love their husbands, love their children and be a chaste, devout keeper at home.  But also to seek godly holiness in behavior ( character), how I live and carry myself, before God, before my family and before others.  Back then I felt pretty helpless to meet up to the task that Mark was asking of me.

But he said

" Lin, its not about you, its about Jesus in you "

What a profound statement that was in my life.  And he was right, it wasn't about me or how perfect I could be, it was about letting Jesus Love and perfectness shine through me.  I will be honest, some days I feel like I fail big time...

My attitude isn't in the right place, I get frustrated and depressed with how the many things in life are going and I loose sight of the " Goal ".

What was the goal ? and how on earth can I be an example of an older woman having it all together, so that younger women could learn godliness from me ?  I wanted to live a life of holiness before God and everyone.  There are many areas I feel like I fail in, but there is many things I am good at and those areas are the areas where God has given me talents to succeed in.  So here is the goal !

Titus 2: 3 - 5

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things

That they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to heir own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

I Tim. 9 - 12

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array,

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection

But I suffer not a woman to each, nor to usurp authority over the men, but to be in silence.

OK, so there is the goal straight from the New Testament that deals strictly with women. Keeping in mind that Paul also said 

I Tim. 6: 6

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

There is a lot to be said in these passages but I am going to share what my thoughts were then and now. No they have not changed, they have only become more sure in my heart and mind as to what my goal is...

Today it is still not about me... It is still about Jesus in Me !

If we are indeed Women Professing Godliness, then we need to live as God's Word says we are to live and not just pick and choose the parts we like and throw out the ones we don't like.

I am going to share this in several articles I write , hopefully to bless you and help you to see that its really not that hard to attain, even if you feel like you are failing right now.

Today, I want you to mediate on  the verses I shared and that

Its not about you...

" Its about JESUS IN YOU "

My Review

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so one can't really judge each persons art talent as each piece is unique in and of itself. Our Review Copy to Print is a bit below my girls age and liking so i printed this and gave it to my nieces for a present. They loved it and that is what counts is seeing a child smile when they look at a picture.

My Review

I want to say first that I was so glad to find bandz for my girls that were latex free, so I could help them , I am allergic to latex so this was important to me. Also finding bandz that had no odor to them was great. Most smell weird, these didn't. but I think the best points about these Bandz is that they are awesome colors and you get more for your money then with other bandz. Saving money is an important factor in many households. These bands didn't break like other cheap bandz did, so this was also a deciding factor as to purchasing a second time. My Review

I loved the light and pleasant Rose scent to this product. It is lovely and not over powering.  It made my face feel hydrated and very healthy. There was no greasy feel at all, just moisturized soft feeling skin. I love that it has antioxidants to help my skin stay healthy and youthful looking.

My Review

This is the second Language Lessons we have reviewed and I have to say I really like it. Faith has a desire to learn french and well this is giving her a great start !  This way of learning is so much easier for the children and for me too. It allows me to do things while the children are learning and just for listening I pick up the language to myself.

I would highly recommend the Pinsleur way of learning to everyone !

My Review

Many years ago I learned that this area of the face doesn't stay naturally moist and I have always used a good moisturizer in years past.  I feel blessed to have tried Adovia Mineral Eye Gel. These are very cool !  I intend to use these alot this summer. We can use them not only in  drinks, punch but also in  our animal bowls to keep their water cold.  If you want to use them you will need more then one set of them or your going to have to work ahead on them and bag them in the freezer.  When you need something larger then the traditional ice cubes ! These are great !

I also love this Day by Day Vitamin C Serum. It has lightened my acne scaring and smoothed my skin. This is a pretty cool product !  It works with my skin wherever I am. I love that its feeding my skin healthy stuff while I go about my living my life. My Review

 I like this product. I have tried many Vitamin C Serums this year and as you know they are wonderful at smoothing the skin and reducing age spots and any discoloration due to acne or other issues. This Vitamin C Serum not only smoothed my skin but left it moisturized and looking very nice. I like that this product has No GMOs and is Organic and natural. I have been trying to spend more time outside and have found that I am not burning as easy either. I feel that my skin looks younger and I know I am doing something good for my skin in using this.

I liked this product. I do notice a smoothing of my facial skin and a firmness to it while using this product. I also have not burned as easy in the sun while using it.  It has no offensive odors and I am sensitive to most things and this works well for me.  My husband says my skin has a healthy rosy glow to it and that is a healthy look ! I really love this Argan Oil a lot. It is organic and works so well on my hair and my skin !  I like that I don't' feel any greasy feel when I use it on my hands and feet. My Review

DH Mark got to try these as I tried two and felt like maybe I was allergic.  I am not a shellfish person at all really.  Mark says be sure you eat when taking this, he had some reflux if he didn't.  But his health seems to be better for the taking. He has more energy and seems to have less asthma problems too.  We would say if your able to take Krill , it is the superior choice to use.  We would recommend this product wholeheartedly !  No fishy taste or after burps !
